Victory & Victorious Reunited

This years Lincolnshire Show saw the reuniting the 2 consecutively numbered Foster Showmans engines 14501 & 14502, Victory and Victorious:

Victory & Victorious 1

This was the first time the engines had stood together on Lincolnshire soil since they were built in 1920. They were ordered together by separate showman and were delivered on the same train in 1920. It is believed that the 2 original owners approached Foster’s collectively to obtain a better price for each engine. The engines are virtually identical with the exception of some additional brass pipework on Victorious. Both engines were laid up at the start of the WWII and never returned to commercial fairground work.

Victory & Victorious 2

This was Victory’s first rally in many years, she has been owned an rallied by Don and Dorothy Robinson for some time but she has not left their shed for nearly 15 years with restoration still ongoing.
