The death of John True, longtime editor of the Traction Engine Register was announced. The TER is a legendary publication which nearly every Traction Engine enthusiast must own a copy of and it has done a great deal to generate interest in the hobby.

A request for details on any surviving Wallis Compound engines resulted in pictures of Wallis & Steeves 2976 being posted, an engine which has not been rallied for many years. The pictures revealed that the engine was sold in 1977 for £6000 at auction.

The ‘Fearnley’ Wagons

Super collection of pictures posted by Paul Fearnley who is a relative of the Fearnley family of Yorkshire, great engine owners of the 1970’s. The pictures include their collection of Sentinel’s, Fowler Tractor, Foden and Yorkshire. A real treat.
