Fowler 13053 – Shiwa Ngandu, Zambia

One of the most interesting engines that came out of the Steam Plough Works is Fowler 13053. This was a special Road Locomotive of Fowler’s B6 type, however this one was fitted with a special long firebox and a superheater, the first and only one of it’s type to be made:

McLaren 767 Restoration in South Africa

Sandstone Heritage Trust web site features an extensive photo diary of the restoration of McLaren 767 at the in South Africa.
The engine was completed in October 2008 and has recently made apperances at a number of events. The site will be of tremendous use to anybody restoring an engine, particularly a McLaren.
