Black Country Museum Steam Weekend

The Black Country Museum held a special steam weekend in June over the father’s day weekend, as I father I even got in for free!

Traveling up from the West Country was former local engine Burrell 3197 “Old Tim” which worked for many years at Screen Bros in nearby Oldbury. Earlier in the week the engine visited the premises of it’s former owners:

This was accompanied by Black Country stalwart Fowler 17212, which of course has spent all of it’s life in the Wolverhampton area.

The layout of the museum meant that the photo opportunities were numerous and without the usual rally clutter, although the weather didn’t really play ball for much of the day.
